Recently, i just realised that alot of my friends have relationships issues to deal with.
The most common 3-letter word.
BGR. (Boy-Girl Relationship)
It's not just a few. It's more that what my fingers can help me count. And it stretches to a huge age group, youngest 15, oldest 25. Sometimes, I just ponder, why do people get themselves into such relationship problems. It can be mainly breakdown to a few scenarios:
1) Boy likes Girl. But Girl doesn't like Boy. Ouch. 2) Girl likes Boy. But Boy doesn't like Girl. Ouch also. 3) Boy likes Girl and Girl is confused. Seems like alot of times, this is the case. 3) Girl likes Boy and Boy likes Girl. But somehow, due to some reason, cannot be together. (Extreme case will be like Romeo and Juliet. It'll be rare to see such a dramatic sceneplay here. Anyway...)
It's alright to have a relationship, I for one is not against it. But I would like to ask is: What is the intention of the relationship? Do you two know each other well enough as friends? How do other close friends say about him/her when u all discussed about the relationship? And are you and the other party ready for this new relationship together?
A relationship takes 2 hands to clap. Do not jump into a relationship just because both of u love each other. Love is not the basis for the start of a new relationship. Commitment is. Love is just cream in between the cake. Love fades, commitment doesn't.
Quote: "Before you are married, keep your eyes open, keep your options free, see each others' positive and negative side. Be observant, analytical. After you are married, close 1 eye, so that u can focus only on the one you have chosen to live your whole life with. Sadly, most of the time, people just jump into a relationship blind and just hope everything will work just fine."
