Wowz. It's been about a month since I last updated my blog on what's happening. Hmmm.. Mainly plain busy with studies and quizzes and tutorials. What do u expect? University lifestyle ain't just fun and games, most of the time u flog ur whole semester just to get a non-disappointing results. Hahaha. Life goes on.
Last monday, went for my NTU ministry prayer meeting. It's been a long long time since I last attended (which was last sem) due to tuition commitments and stuffs. Got to see some of the people whom I haven't seen much since Emerge. Hahaha. NTU is a big place ok. Ya. Also got to know a few more people, and 1 of the new people looked like the girl from Project Superstar. Shi Xin Hui, think was the girl's name. Anyway, they look alike. Or at least that's what I feel. =)
Anyway, after that, went to catch a movie, World Trade Center, with my Strikeforce family. It was a great movie, and a touching one too, apart from a few hilarious scenes. Would recommend you all to watch it. Kind of set me thinking during the show, whereby when they experience another collapse of the building, the people started to pray to God. Reminded me of a comic on Calvin and Hobbes, which they term it as deathbed conversion. I mean, ya, u'll still go into Heaven if u confess and convert before your last breath. But being a Christian is more than that. More than getting into Heaven. More than having eternal life. It's about living for Him, after you have been saved. Live for Him because He died for us. Ya. After the movie, went supper with Shona and Zhaoxuan. Sent Shona home after that.
Friday, went for this Songwriting Course given by 2 most talented and anointed songwriters, Andrew Naylor and David Holmes. Really being thoroughly blessed by the both of them. Not just learning about all the different chord progressions, melody setting, lyrics writing. But also on the anointing and impartation of faith and knowledge. The 2 hours really blew everyone away. Here's a short overview on some of the points they covered:
Songs are an overflow on our lives. The way we govern what comes out determines who we are. Indeed, God is revealing His knowledge every single moment through His creations: The sun, the clouds, the animals, even the grass. And out of this wonder and amazement that we write. Music: It's all about communication and relationships. Figure out what are we writing for, who are we connecting to. The power of music is the ability to change the state of the heart. Great songs don't come easy. There's no takeaway. No desire => no perseverance => no fruit.

Saturday, we had a birthday celebration for our cell group leader who turn *censored*(age cannot be disclosed) this year! Hehe. Everyone rushed down to Suntec after service to prepare the celebration. About 25 people were present. We baked 2 cakes and presents and even a laser song dedication wor. So unique. Hahaha. Also, alot of phototaking after that, group by group. Then after that, we just went to have dinner at some rojak restaurant at the basement. A place that sells set dinner with rice and jelly and kimchi and ur main dish. Seriously, no one could figure out what style are they adapting. Hahahaha. Abstract art.
This week, is actually e-learning week. So everyone just cramped their tutorials together as it will be very stupid to travel for 2 hours just to attend a 1-hour tutorial. On monday, we celebrated yongqiang's birthday at marche along with Darryl, Yuhong, Rallen, Lingling, Julia, Bryan, Reid and Yongqiang's member. Hahaha. Kinda cool. Ate rosti and pork knuckles aka fried pig trotters from germany. Slurp. Shiok ah! The fellowship was great, practically talked about anything there is. Den we had a cake shaped like a fish for his birthday. Look so funny la. But the overall effect is nice also. Will post it up soon. Happy birthday, boi~! =d
Tues we had our cheerleading prac~! Wuhoo~! Finally able to use the main auditorium. Everyone was really amazed by the new mats. Everyone was playing with it thoughout. Hahaha. Quite cool, totally sponsored too. Did quite a few stunts, though mainly just recapping of stunts that we did before. ThinkI'll need insurance in the future. End up flyers land on me, from all sorts of angle. I'm a natural cushion, fall-cushioning kit. Hahaha. Felt really bad during the training as I caused Faith to hit her head (again!) during humpty. Haiz. Need to be more alert. Don't want my flyers to get hurt even before they go out for performances. God, let your healing come. Let ur protection be upon every flyer and base, that everyone will be in the best of health and carrying the strength of God. =)
