Actually wanted to do a new year blog but somehow was too lazy to do it. New year ma. So rare got time to actually slack and got no agenda to fulfill throughout the 2 days. So must treasure it. Hehehehe.
New year's eve. Was spent at East Coast Park with my cg people. Went cycling, more like bike racing though. Within 1 hour, we cycled to bedok jetty, enjoy the scenery for a while, watch fishermen catching water snakes, then rushed all the way back to the bike shop to return the bikes on time. Seriously, it doesn't help when the seat cushion felt more like a plank board than a soft cushion. Suffered severe butt ache after that, same goes with del and daph. After that, we had our last meal of 2006 in McDonalds. Hahaha. How special. We waited for wenhui to come, then we went down to the beach to wait for the countdown. As the countdown draw nearer, many people came to the beach to get ready. Once the year reached 2007, there were much cheering and celebrations. Sparklers of all sorts, loud ones, small ones, normal ones, bright ones which can be compared with signal flares. On top of that, we also saw real signal flares released by the ships that were at the sea. Quite a scene they made, though not as beautiful as the real fireworks happening at the esplanade, but still memorable. Took quite alot of pictures and was fun. Daph and Amanda was "attacked" by strangers with spray foam. End up looking like santa claus. Hohohoh. =d
After that, we stayed at the beach and chilled out. Chatted and crapped. Quite an enjoyable time. Then some of us went to have our first meal of 2007 at (you guessed it!) back at McDonalds. Then all the lame jokes all started to come out le, coz everyone was just tired and wanted to keep awake. Spent the whole night chatting and stoning till 530am. Hahaha. Then all of us went out to take our buses home.
New year's day. Didn't get to sleep much. Couldn't sleep too longer either, no idea why. Went shopping with my mum for a new pair of shoes. The first blessings for the new year. Amen~! Found a great pair of Vans shoes and bought it. Then after that, we shopped around a bit more, went carrefour to buy stuffs, then went back home le.
Really have great things ahead for 2007. Already have my goals sorted out, planned and awaiting execution. To plan and to be ready. Was talking to a friend recently about making new year resolutions. What he said was true. What's the point of making new year resolutions when you are not intending on keeping it? Like what some people say, the more hope you have, the more disappointment that you will have. True in a certain sense that you might face disappointment but there is also the 2nd face of a coin: That you can face with great achievement. That you can note how much you have changed during the next few months. Maybe you want to save up $100 per month. Maybe you want to get all As and Bs for your papers. Maybe you want to learn a new genre of dance. Or even lose off some flabs. All these requires planning, not just wanting to do it, but have actions to prove it. Eventually, at the end of the year, you will realise how much you have grown throughout 2007. More mature, more responsible, more satisfied of who you are and what you have achieved. Make your 2007 resolution, stick with it, act upon it, and I believe this year 2007 will be your best year yet ever.
