I've found it easier to raise finance for a $12 million building than for a $3000 washing machine.
If it doesn't inspire it doesn't motivate.
The team, the congregation, the public must be captured by the vision.
If it's too small it won't inspire.
If it's ridiculously big it won't be believed.
Big, realistic thinking delivers.
People rally to a big dream.

2 weeks of holidays just passed like that. Whew. That's fast. And alot of stuffs to be done and accomplished. Basically I can be easily found in a few places these few days. SMU, NTU, Jurong West building. Yupz, that's about it. 'Cause Emerge 2007 is coming up~! Hahaha.
Cheerleading has been always been my passion. Not just to throw girls up into mid-air(though it's one of the plus points. Ha!) or jumping and shouting like crazy people, but the unity of the people who gathers together to work as a team to make things done. Just like in Parade of Schools, clusters are in search of people who are willing to commit, to run the vision with them for the next 1 month to put up a united and awesome performance. This is the time where the fun literally begins.
To build unity, to build friendships, to train up people, to discover hidden talents. Which is like what happened in Acts and Genesis. The people were in 1 accord. And nothing that they proposed to do will be withheld from them. The power of agreement. Numbers doesn't mean everything, but it means something. That there are still people willing to take the sacrifice of their time and holidays and use it for the Lord. That these are the obedient and the willing, and they will eat the good of the land.
And I really thank God for Euphoria. That even though all of us come from different secondary schools, junior colleges, polytechnics and even universities students (oh ya, and 2 teachers~! Hahaha!), we put aside our differences and to really do what God has called forth. Only when you dare to be different, then can you make a difference. There will always be people unhappy with new stuffs, but perseverance and determination will pull through in the end. Where there is unity, God will definitely command His blessings.
Learnt something from a friend today. Passion burns. Maybe you would say, what's new with that? Passion is the fire that burns every fibre of our being, to be excited about something that is worthwhile, to be elated when it becomes successful, you eat, sleep, drink, grow with that dream with you. Passion is a fire that burns. However, we are just like the wick. If the fire just burn us, we will soon be burned out somewhere along the road. That is why plugging into the Spirit is so important. Fire needs something to burn. Oil. Which represents the Holy Spirit. Fire uses the oil to keep on burning, not the wick. Similarly, passion requires the Holy Spirit to keep on burning, not us alone. The key focus is never on us, on the servants, but it is to be focused unto the Lord, the Master. So don't be a wick that is so black and burnt out easily, but be a candle which keeps on burning and shines its light in the darkness.
Ok. I'm just plain drained for today le. Maybe I'll update more frequently in the future. =)
