East To West By Casting Crowns
Here I am, Lord, and I'm drowning in your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don't want to end up where You found me
And it echoes in my mind, keeps me awake tonight
I know You've cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
And I stand before You now as though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way
Jesus, can You show me just how far the east is from the west
'cause I can't bear to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
I start the day, the war begins, endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way
I know You've washed me white, turned my darkness into light
I need Your peace to get me through, to get me through this night
I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth Your word reveals
I'm not holding on to You, but You're holding on to me
You're holding on to me
Jesus, You know just how far the east is from the west
I don't have to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
One scarred hand to the other
From one scarred hand to the other

PATIENCE
Quote - ' And a servant of the Lord must be... patient.' - 2 Tim 2:24
Patience is coping with people's faults and failings.
Patience is controlling your attitude when you want to lose it.
Patience is not raising your voice when you're angry.
Patience is a soft answer.
Patience is giving people more time than you think you should.
It is bearing with people while they learn what you already know.
Patience will make you 'complete', the Bible says, 'lacking nothing.'
Patience is waiting for people and doing it with a great attitude.
Patience is not huffing, sighing, and 'losing it'.
Patience is ruling your spirit.
Be patient!
With others. With yourself. With God.
The timing of God is perfect.

14 Feburary. A nice day, to blog, this is. Hahaha. Apparently, my tutor is not a romantic person and thus happily planned a quiz on this day. Sadist. Nacissist. Bleah. =X
Feburary has been quite uneventful so far. The first few days were spent quite normally. Sort of a routine. That's the word. Routine. Good or bad, depends on individual. A cycle that goes round and round. Never-ending. Until you break off from the cycle or until you are too tired to run and so the cycle just carry you through. Sadly but true. Just ask any hamster. =D
Chinese new year was quite ok. Slightly more increased in ang bao numbers. Used to be 1. This year I got 4. Hahaha. Well, like what they say, when you hit the bottom, the only way we go is up. Also increased in the quantity too~! Wuhoo~! Great~!
Chinese new year, almost all the time out except not on visitations. Day 1 spent at home playing my old Xbox. Then in the afternoon went to met Del, Daph and Angeline(Malang) for just plain fellowship at Leisure Park (opposite Indoor Stadium). Most of the shops are still not opened or still shifting in. We end up chilling at Coffeebean. Just simple chilling. After that, went back home to relax and after that met up with some people again. Mainly, Joel, Mac, Jasmine, Jonathan, Colby, Yun Shuen. Came up with one conclusion. Not many people know where is the Japanese War Memorial. Neither does the policemen who were on duty at river ang bao. Hahaha. Most people mistook the WWI Memorial for it. Anyway, river ang bao was really packed with poeple and expensive stuffs. We went to Marina Square's Starbucks to chat and finally ended at some place at Esplanade. Hahahahaha. All over the place. But it was quite an ok night.
Day 2, stayed and rotted at home until evening time, went over to Changi Airport to send Joel off. Saw his aunt and cousin. So we walked a while and chatted about our dreams. Then we went to eat at the staff canteen where only 2 stalls were opened. But we almost forgot the time and poor Joel had to rush all over the place to find the boarding gate. Hahaha. But he finally got on and should be back in New Zealand now. After that, went down to find the cell group at vivocity. Felliowshipped a while and then we went over to Boon Keng McDonalds to chat because we were planning to watch a movie at Balastier. Talked too long, then we end up rushing over to Balastier by foot. Del and angeline nearly died-ed with their heels. Reached the place on time to catch the movie CJ7. Not a bad movie, quite hilarious and yet touching. After that, ensure that the gals took cab back home, the guys went to eat at McDonalds ('cause it's the only thing that is opened.), fellowshipped and we went over to Jonathan's house to play mahjong. Hahahaha. Until next day morning and then we went off.
Day 3, basically sleep and sleep until evening then went over to queensway to look for a present. Was hoping to find something that is below budget and praying to God about it. Because so far, the shoes i'm looking for is about 40 plus, 50. Finally, I found one within my budget, which is 25. Praise the Lord! Hahaha. So had it gift wrapped, ate dinner then went home.
Day 4, went for service. Pastor talked about husbands and wives. Though it might not seems revelant, I was impacted by it. Because it was also applicable in general. God healed 7 persons in the bible, and all 7 were men. Because men are to have visions and lead people. Relationships break down normally is due to the man who lacks to take the leadership in it. Male by birth, but man only by choice. So true.
After that, we went over to some steamboat place at Bugis. It's a small shop opposite the DHL balloon thingy. Quite ok la, with only $16 per person, not much one can expect. We celebrated Colby's birthday there too! Hahaha. And group photos. Then we went to Bugis arcade to play for a while. Then, some went off while the rest went over to Marina Square. The gals pang-seh-ed us to watch Kungfu Dunk. So the guys played at the arcade for a while then we went to nua at McDonalds and waited for the gals. Then we went home.
Was listening to the song, Numb by Linkin' Park recently and I was reminded of what Bro Darren told us when we were in NTU. What are you aiming for? What are you doing this for? Find the source, find back the reason. If not, you will end up being numb of all these things and you find them irritable. I believe so. Without seeing the finishing line, one would not have endured the race.
Yup, that's all le for these 2 weeks, i guess.
To all those who are attached/married,
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
To all those who are not,
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!
PS. Your day will come, someday. =D
Till next time,
Till the last trumpet sound.

Numb By Linkin' Park
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
Feeling so faithless lost under the surface
Don't know what you're expecting of me
Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
[Chorus]
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
Become so tired so much more aware
I'm becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you
Can't you see that you're smothering me
Holding too tightly afraid to lose control
Cause everything that you thought I would be
Has fallen apart right in front of you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
Every step that I take is another mistake to you
(Caught in the undertow just caught in the undertow)
And every second I waste is more than I can take
And I know
I may end up failing too
But I know
You were just like me with someone disappointed in you
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
I've become so numb I can't feel you there
I'm tired of being what you want me to be
