Phew. Another 3 weeks since my last update. Basically plain busy with all my quizzes and stuffs. Finals coming soon. Not really a time to slack. Got to press on and finish this race once and for all. =d
Recap on the previous weeks:
Had an incredible cg meeting on 22 Feb. Supposedly, we were to have a word that night. But HS has other plans. He brought us back into the presence of God and refreshed everyone. It just felt like the whole heaven came down in its full glory. Many were ministered to. Tears flowing. Hearts convicted. Body, soul and spirit refreshed. Which reminded me, sometimes, we don't need to have any agenda, stick to a certain format or timeline. But when we begin to seek only after Him, He will be found. Like what pastor Phil said before, 3 hours will feel like only 5 minutes have gone, because you've spent time with Him in His presence. Christianity is never about religion, nor a set of principles and rules. Christianity can be summed up in 3 words: Relationship with God. Everthing else we do, is out of an overflow of a heart of worship. Just like any relationship, if you love the person, you are willing to do anything. If not, it'll be a chore to you. Same thing with people, same thing with God. Look for the encounter. =)
Why do I still remember it? Because after that we had our first overnight prayer meeting in Jurong West, since a long time ago. The place was super jammed packed that even the steps are being filled. Still remembered those times where the only people who can make it for the prayer meeting are wh and me. Then slowly, del joined in. Looking at the people who came this time round, I'm glad. Not just at the numbers, but the willingness to sacrifice and their hunger for the things of God. Sharon, Kimberly, Melvin, Shaofei: We're proud of you! Hehehe. Let this be the start of many more to come. =d
And with that, basically wrapped up the whole of feburary and soon came march.
FIR came during one of our services, during 1 March. That was the week when we had to temporarily shift to hall 1. Slightly bigger hall (i think) but sound acoustics was terok. Haiz. But overall, it was still good. They performed quite a few numbers and really nice songs. And they shared their testimonies too. God is really shining through them in their own marketplaces. We all have to too, in our own realm of marketplace. After that, we went over to simei to eat. Same place. Well, at least it's no longer in expo, that's a good start. Hahaha.
Attended Jesse's wedding on 8 Mar at the Jurong West premises. Was there quite early and saw ben, faith and shengda. Thank God there were people we know. If not, faith and I will be quite bored. Hahaha. Attended the matrimony and pastor meng was the pastor to lead the wedding! Hahaha. He's extremely funny and hilarious. Saw the video and philip has about, like what, 10 photos of himself? Then jesse had about 20 plus like that. That's can be explained by guys don't usually take pictures. Most guys. Hahaha. After matrimony, faith had to fly off to her cg meeting, so the rest of us guys went to eat. Then we went down to expo, and guess what, it was only 2.30pm! So literally stoned at coffeebean until the rest arrived. Learnt quite a lot of things from shengda. Which is why I often missed fellowshipping with him since he graduated.
Played badminton with the cell group on monday recently. Need to train up my stamina and my strokes. The shuttlecocks were flying everywhere except the places I want them to fly to. Haiz. Quite alot of people turned up for the badminton thingy and it doesn't help with the rain pouring. So the guys end up drenched when we reached the stadium. Hahaha. Some of them were quite violent, end up the racket strings were broken for 3 badminton rackets. 2 sheryl's and 1 janice's. O_o. After that, we went to eat at the coffeeshop nearby. Chit chat-ed then some of them went off while a few of us lingered around. End up at McDonalds again chatting with janice and ee ban till 10 like that. Interesting fella, ee ban. And he's very funny. Hahaha. After that, sent both of them home, then went home.
Tuesday was ministry training but didn't train at all because only 4 people came. So we did an interview on one of Samuel's friend who was interested. Then after that, chatted a while, and supposedly to go home. But Faith was to meet a friend till late, so accompanied her to chinatown. Ate at this place that sold frog legs porridge. Nice! Somemore it was raining, so it kind of warm up the body. Hahaha. Chatted and crapped for a very long time. Then came the news. The friend forgot about meeting her. And she stays in the west. Hahaha. But thank God her members came down later to accompany her. So I went back home and went out again to meet Mac and Jonathan to study. Supposedly to trek to Mustafa but Mac was too lazy(oops!) so end up eating at the nearby prata stall. Then went over to Jonathan's house to watch Inter Milan vs Liverpool Champions' League match. It was so boring during the first half that I dozed off. Then we just sleep without watching the second half. Hahaha.
Yup, that's all that I have le. Hope I never leave anything out. Another lengthy entry. It's been pouring often lately. Which is not good, because it's so comfortable to sleep in. Hahaha.
